To request an installation of the CMS in your school's webspace please read the following:
a) Send an email to

containing:
§ Name of the requestor
§ MIS ID (e.g. swilk88)
§ Position (MIS Administrator, Principal)
§ School Name
§ School Location Code
§ Contact Details (address, phone)
§ Your choice for the default template.
b) Contact the IMS Service Desk on 1800 648 679 (Option 1) and provide the above information.
Your request will then be processed and you will be notified when the template is installed. This may take up to 10 working days.
Please note, requests must come from Principals, MIS Administrators or District SysTechs.
The help desk folk will now undergo training so that support for the CMS will be available to schools from Monday May 15 using the contact details above, not the CITEC Service Centre.
The manual is still being finalised and will be available by the end of next week. I’ll post details then.
The CMS will be installed into its own folder in your school’s webspace, so schools may wish to request an installation and then play with it before moving it across as their main website, or choose not to use it at all. It is just another option to develop a school website.
Schools may also request a basic installation of the CMS and then develop and install their own templates, or use a 3rd party provider.
